Blue Tickets/Rewards
It's a very big deal in our room if a student earns 5 blue tickets for great behavior! They can exchange 5 tickets for a visit to the treasure box. We also started something new this week. Students can also choose a reward coupon after they earn 5 blue tickets. Their choices are:
Stinky Feet: Wear socks in the classroom all day
Fluffy Friend: Bring a stuffed animal to school for the day
ipad Fun!: Play a fun game on the ipad instead of working
Seat Change: Sit anywhere in the room for the day
Story Time: Bring a story from home to read to the class or have Mrs. Woods read it to the class
Show and Tell: Bring something special to school to share with the class
Hats off to You!: Wear a hat for the day
I just wanted to make you aware of the choices in case your child tells you about something they earned or want to bring, and you are doubting it:) Not that they would ever do that....haha!
Next week will be busy. Here is a peek at what is going on in our classroom:
Tuesday: Nancy Hughes is a local author that is coming to visit and read to the K and 1st grade classes. Below is a link to her website if you are interested in checking out her website:

Thursday: Principal Miller will read a story to all of the Kindergarten classes. They always love this! We will also watch the Polar Express and drink hot chocolate with the other Kindergarten classes. The kids are welcome to wear their PJ's this day!
Friday: 1/2 Day of School (students released at 12:30) and Winter Party at 8:45 am in our classroom. Parents are welcome to attend!
