Hello! Welcome to kindergarten!! This will be my blog for the upcoming school year.
I am looking forward to sharing this year with you and your child! I want to be as much help to you as possible. Here are a few tips that will hopefully prepare your student for a new school year.

- You can find the earbuds very cheap at places such as DollarTree, Walgreens, and Walmart. You will need to label these with your child's initials or name. These will stay at school for the entire year. Something I have noticed in kindergarten is that some of the kids have a hard time keeping earbuds in their ears, They are a little more expensive, but a pair of headphones are also an excellent choice for this age group!
- When looking for pencils, I would suggest the Ticonderoga brand. They are made of real wood and sharpen better, last longer, and have better erasers.
- When looking for dry erase makers, the Expo brand works best.
POOL PARTY
The Willard East Elementary Pool Party will be Sunday, August 2nd from 6:30-8:30 at the Willard Pool. I will be there and would love to meet you and your student!
MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT INFORMATION
Meet the Teacher Night is Tuesday, August 11th from 6:00-7:30. I STRONGLY encourage your child to bring his or her school supplies on this evening. This really helps the morning of the first day go a lot smoother. If your child does bring their supplies on the 11th, they can place them inside their cubby that evening for safe keeping. Please label scissors, binder, school box, rest towel and earbuds/headphones. All other supplies will be community supplies and do not need to be labeled.
* If your student is a bus rider, you will need to know their bus number when you come to our classroom. If you have questions for the bus barn you will be able to visit with them in the gym. Tiger Tales will also been in the gym if you need to enroll your student.
Remind 101
Remind 101 is one more way for me to communicate with you. Remind 101 is a free texting service that I use to send out quick reminders throughout the school year. When using Remind 101 I cannot see your phone number and you cannot see mine. If you do not like Remind 101 after you sign up, you can always unsubscribe. Please click on the link below to sign up!

My classroom website will be updated each week and this will be my main form of communication with you. Take a few minutes to become familiar with it. It will hopefully be a great resource for you this year.
