Hello! I hope you enjoyed your spring break as much as I did. We went to Keystone, Colorado to ski for the week. My family loves Colorado, it is one of our favorite places to visit. I always enjoy spring break, whether I am at home relaxing or visiting some place new. Hopefully you were able to relax and enjoy some family time too!
Upcoming Dates to Remember
March 25: No School
March 28: Snow Make Up Day- School is in session!
March 31: Walking field trip to the High School to see Bayou Bugs (a musical from the high school theater) This is free and the following is a description of the play. I think it will be a lot of fun!!
Bayou Bug Tales is based on the fable of the ant and the grasshopper, but includes many other buggy creatures from the bayou. With toe-tapping songs and colorful characters, Bayou Bug Tales explores the challenges and the changing of seasons and of ourselves. Everything we know and are familiar with changes and transforms into something new, but there are always recognizable elements. When surrounded and supported by family and friends the change isn’t so scary. It is our community and created families which guide and embrace our differences and strengths.
April 5: Kindergarten Music Program
Summer School
If you would like to register your child for summer school please click HERE.
If your child is reading at a level 2 or below, I will be recommending they attend summer school. The goal for 3rd quarter is to be reading at a level 4 and the end of kindergarten is a level 6.
Report Cards
Report cards should be ready to send home next week. I will be available for conferences next week. I sent home a sign up sheet. I realized the times were not shaded out correctly on the sheet I sent home. Please click HERE to see available times. I apologize for the mistake.
I contacted parents that I feel it is necessary to meet with, but if you have concerns or just want to visit about your child, I am happy to meet with you!!

- Reading Logs - I have one student who has read 100 books! I am waiting for a few more to finish so we can have pizza to celebrate. If you need a new reading log, let me know:)
- RAZ kids (app)- Let me know if you need a login or help getting on this. It's a great resource to utilize so your child can read books on their reading level.
