Hello! I can't believe it is time for the holidays. The beginning of our year has flown by faster than ever. With Thanksgiving around the corner, I can't help but think of the many things I am thankful for. At the top of my list is the 23 sweet little personalities I spend my days with. Each and every one of them are so unique, funny, smart and quirky. I LOVE going home and talking about all the funny things that were said during the day. Thank you for sharing your children with me each day. I am thankful for all of them.

Reading
Thank you for sending in the sight word lists! The kids are loving adding their stars to our wall! They are doing great.
Writing
We are really focusing on stretching and sounding out words. We are also stressing the importance of reading our own writing. We are also talking about things like finger spaces between words, making sure our words are sitting on the line, and that we are using our word wall to help our spelling.
Math
We have been talking a lot about patterns this week. They enjoy using all the manipulatives to make patterns. This week we will begin to talk about addition and putting numbers together. We are starting with +1.
Science
We will be doing fun activities with leaves and turkeys this week and next.
Thanksgiving
We will be doing some thanksgiving themed crafts to practice our fine motor skills. They are doing much better at scissor holding, cutting, gluing, etc.
