November 25-27: Thanksgiving Break
December 4- Tiger Pride Assembly
Our class earned their goal of 100 Tiger Tokens! They chose to celebrate by bringing a small stuffed animal to school. We will do this on Monday, November 9th.
I sent reading logs home last week. Your child’s goal is to read 100 books by the end of the year! They keep track of how many books they read in our classroom. When your child reaches 100 books, I will order pizza and we will eat lunch in the classroom to celebrate. You can continue sending reading logs in after you meet the goal, or stop sending them in. Either way is fine. You can send in completed reading logs as often as you like. The Pizza Hut coupons will only get sent home once a month though.

Spelling Words Next Week: can, no
In writing next week we will discuss using a checklist in writing. (Did I use spacing, add letters for the sounds I hear in each word, write neatly?) Students will also learn to listen for the vowel in each word as they write, and try to add it in their writing.
In reading we will discuss how the words and pictures go together in a book, and we will work on visualizing (creating an image in our head as we read).
In Math we will continue discussing patterns.
